Risk Warning

The value of investments can go down as well as up. Past performance is no guarantee of future success. Although the potential returns are theoretically unlimited, investing in equities can lose you part or all of your capital. The tips given here are of necessity, general. They cannot relate to the individual circumstances of investors. Anyone considering following the recommendations contained here should seek independent advice. So, while we would not wish to reduce our liability under the FSA regulatory regime, we cannot otherwise be held liable if individuals suffer losses through following tips contained on this site. Some of the shares recommended on this site will be smaller company shares. By their nature such investments can be relatively illiquid and thus hard to trade. And that makes such investments more of a high risk than larger company shares. AIM & PLUS Newsletter

There have been dazzling rises in small company shares recently. This is YOUR opportunity to make some money from them.

The AIM & PLUS Newsletter, launched in 1995, covers shares listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and the PLUS Markets trading facility. Uniquely, qualifying shares on these markets carry significant tax concessions relating to capital gains tax relief and inheritance tax relief. Since launch the newsletter has identified several stunning winners, including BATM Advanced Communications, Fitness First, Mears Group and Euro Sales Finance. Of course we do not get it right all the time, but the awards won and our institutional following is testimony to our track record.

Twice winner of the prestigious AIM Best Research Award, every month The AIM & PLUS Newsletter brings you meticulously researched analysis and expert comment on a wide range of companies from these vibrant markets. The possibility for huge capital gain embodied by smaller quoted companies is well known and for its readers The AIM & PLUS Newsletter is integral not only to uncovering these under-researched gems but in helping to give a bum-steer to those small companies likely to catch a cold.

It's testament to the quality of The AIM & PLUS Newsletter that it is as much a fixture for institutions as it is for so many clued-up private investors.

Shares with rapid growth prospects

The AIM & PLUS Newsletter specialises in the vibrant AIM and PLUS stock markets, which are just teeming with shares with rapid growth prospects.

AIM stands for the Alternative Investment Market. Formed by the London Stock Exchange in 1995, it is home to more than 1,600 young and thrusting companies.

Without a doubt it is the most successful small companies market in Europe.

PLUS is a regulated share market of around 170 companies. It has been the nursery for some fabulous corporate growth stories (and share profits) and will continue to be in the future. It has also had its fair share of disasters. Our job is to find the winners.

These markets represent the ultimate hunting ground for fast-growing shares.

But we are not talking about gains of 10%, 20%, or even 30%. No, the shares this  newsletter is interested in can multiply their value - and your stake - several times over, by 100%, 200% and more! Beware there are risks in small caps. These are higher risk investments and you should be aware that you can also make big losses on AIM shares and also that the spreads on such shares can be wider than on blue chips. That is where expert advice comes in.

Hunting out the golden nuggets

This newsletter specialises in hunting out the golden nuggets, the real investment treasures.

Some could be the headline-grabbing growth companies of tomorrow.

We make it our business to tell you about them at an early stage in their history - when they are trading at what with hindsight will seem like bargain prices.

So how do you pick the winners?

Fundamental research - by which we mean knowing the business inside out - can bring big rewards. To really understand whether a share is worth recommending you need to completely get to grips with the underlying activities that drive the share price.

You need to know about cashflow analysis and the complexities of making acquisitions.

And timing is everything. You need to bank profits and avoid losses like the plague.

By contrast with small company shares, large company shares have only limited potential.

Most of the growth in large companies has already occurred. They may be reliable - though not always - and they rarely if ever produce treble digit gains. They are lower risk than AIM shares but history shows that they also offer less upside.

The truth is, if you want your share portfolios to outperform over the long term, you need to back high quality trading companies at an early stage in their development.

That means buying them at the beginning of their stock market lives - when relatively few people have heard of them - not when they are mature and household names.

The advantage of this strategy is that you benefit as earnings growth continues and more investors pile in, driving the shares ever upward.

Massive opportunities for private investors who can tolerate some risk...

Getting in on the ground floor like this should be what all good investors do - so why don’t they?

Well, it’s the old story of herd mentality. Like sheep, institutional investors mainly stick together.

They’re happy to buy the leading shares because that’s what their competitors are doing. That means at the very worst, their track record will be roughly the same as their competitors.

There’s also a technical reason. Institutions can’t always buy big enough stakes in small companies to make a difference to their fund performance.

That leaves large sections of the small companies market, and in particular the AIM and PLUS shares, under-researched and overlooked.

So, while large investors are either not interested or cannot buy the quantities of smaller company shares they want, small investors are free to pick the best of them.

The AIM & PLUS Newsletter is the only independent publication dedicated to uncovering the gleaming opportunities that these markets have to offer.

The advice is impartial and the only interest we have is to provide you with good investment ideas.

Not only do we provide well-researched information, but we dig deeper, cutting through the hype, to offer you straightforward and fair opinions on the prospects for companies - good or bad.

What do you get when you subscribe?

Every month in a newsletter delivered by e-mail on the day of publication, and by first class post to your door, The AIM & PLUS Newsletter gives you in-depth research into the next potential profit-makers in these markets.

  • At least two new recommendations each month, the result of hours of painstaking research, telling you the best shares to buy.
  • Additional new investment ideas, providing you with further options.
  • News of the latest new issues.
  • Regular updates on all recommendations, so you know whether to sell or hold.

I am in close touch with the companies recommended, following their development and keeping you abreast of management, product, strategy, and most importantly, share price changes.

The ideas could come from any sector including gold and diamond mining, biopharmaceutical research, cash shells and profitable internet companies.

However, the most important consideration is value. The sole aim of the newsletter is to make you money, so my advice will often be in unglamorous sectors where the shares are cheap and fantastic value.

Because the newsletter is only available by subscription, you’ll be part of a select group of investors. You’ll be able to buy before the market starts to move and so get the shares more cheaply than others.

Don’t just take our word for the value in The AIM & PLUS Newsletter. Here’s what existing subscribers say:

'I am always on the look-out for rising stars quoted on AIM and PLUS. Jim Perry, Oxon

'Valuable in-depth information that has served me well in my search for growth stocks on AIM and PLUS markets' Michael Spicer, Rotherham.

'A must for any investor seriously interested in AIM,' Michael Cunningham, Liverpool.

'The AIM & PLUS Newsletter provides one with sensible, well researched, investment ideas in an area of the market for which serious information tends to be either lacking or of dubious quality for private investors. Perhaps more important is the fact that the ideas are followed up consistently and honestly.' Peter Holland, Essex.

'I've put your recommendations into a fictitious tracker and about 50% are up by up to 40%' P.J., Colchester.
